After the feedback from Mr Vinod I redid the headline to convey the text better, I redid the body text and polished it so that it did not need to be changed.

FEEDBACK

Week 6
General Feedback:
The idea of the titles/heading should make sense, the leading should not be too close, too much distortion in the words, there should be cross aligntment.

Specific Feedback:
layout is made in a way that the heading looks like 3 different titles and is taking too much space, idea is there but the other words from the headline could also be used to emphasize the word ‘world’, the space is a bit forced and there’s empty spaces that take up spaces that could be of use.

REFLECTIONS

Experience
It was a fun experience to create the spreads as there are many designs that can be explored by the 3 different titles given. It was hard to think of an idea that revolved around the word 'world' as many people think the same way, so to come up with the idea that using the word 'world' as a compass was an interesting idea. Although I do feel that my design exploration could've been more indepth but it was hard trying to find different ways to use the compass idea.

Observations
Through my peers I've observed that although they chose the same title as me, they all had different and various ways to explore and express their design outcomes. It was interesting to see although some had the same ideas it was done in a method that honestly I did not even think of.

Findings
Ive found out through his task that having a good layout can help the readability of the medium as well as having a good design can help to gain the attention and grasp the understanding of the title for the readers.

Fig 1.1 Multicolumn Grid

Multicolumn grid has a unique anatomical characteristic. The use of margins provide boundaries for typographical elements to define the active space of the page, text columns, gutters that separate text columns and flow lines that create a dominant axis for the alignment of elements page to page.

Fig 1.2 Typographic Syntax (Designer: Robert Boyle)

Demonstrates contrast visual charcateristic between the three letterform.
Fig 1.3 Typographic Syntax (Designer: Gail Collins)

Precise letterform drawing and carefully considered form to counter form interaction, two dissimilar letters to form a cohesive sign.

The use of contrast type sizes and weights and the use of rules to create carefully balanced column and margins.
