Task 3A, Type design and communication
Lectures
All lectures are in task 1.
Instructions
For this task we were required to create a type design by using "abdegimopty!,."
Sketches
Fig 1.0 Deconstructed "b" Futura light 16/10/21
we were supposed to chose 1 of the 10 type faces given that would work accordingly with our sketch. Mine was closest to Futura so I deconstructed 3 letters from Futura.

Font labs
Fig 2.1 final test 23/10/21
Although I like the final product i can see it is lacking in many ways too but it was my 1st time using font labs and I had no idea what was heads or tails and I tried many ways but wasn't able to adjust the size of my fonts so although it is good in adobe illustrator.

Feedback
Week 9
General:
Specific: certain letters are not consistent like "g and p", "a" could be
changed to a different form, there are few curves in the letters but they
are not consistent.
Reflection
Typo has been one of the most challenging module out of the rest that I'm doing so far, it takes a lot of time and patience in order to learn typography. Although sometimes I do not favor typo or even feel like "why am I doing this" typo has sometimes changed my perspective on a few things for example how we take fonts and lettering for granted when they are super complex and can cause quite an impact to a reader.
Seeing and deciphering how the letters were created and even creating a letter is a very complex it shows that even the tinniest change can cause everything to tumble down like my work I can see some letters are not on equal ground as how they look like in adobe illustrator. Font labs is quite challenging to use unlike adobe illustrator and it took sometime a few tries and errors but i still couldn't find out what caused my letters to enlarge.
