Lecture

"Who am I" ?, we are defined by different people around us for example friends and family. Although we might think we are no different family and friends has different perception of who we are.

How to visualize, 1st there is the self than how others see me, my experience, my interests, my thoughts, and how I see myself.

Self-Portrait

  • Is a representation in the form of a drawing painting, sculpture, design.
  • It is a visual depiction of the self.

  • Self-portrait artwork represents the artist, it is not about creating a realistic image of oneself but instead is a self-exploration.

16 Personality test

Figure 1.0 16personality (10/10/21)

I did the 16 personality test as an extra and I got the results of being and INTP-T.

Figure 1.1 Mind map (10/10/21)

I did a mind map about myself after doing the Proust questionnaire and the 16 personality.

Figure 1.2 Self Portrait time lapse (12/10/21)

I forgot to take a picture of each of my progress so ill share the time lapse of it

Figure 1.3 my Self portrait (12/10/21)

I want to show or tell people this is who I am. From this self portrait you can see different things, for example the clouds represents me always dreaming and always not in the present.

The wishing star is a sign to show that I'm always wishing to either get something or for my dreams to become reality.

The Crown represents me being treated as a king and I have never faced harshness and everything is taken care for me telling that I'm a person who is carefree and don't really care about others and am more focus on myself.

The hands covering my eyes represents me trying to not see the darkness of the world and trying to convince myself the world is still a better place.

Overall this portrait shows that I'm carefree, loved, wishing for things to make me happy, living in my own world and being blind to the darkness of the world/society.

REFLECTION

This project made me figure out and find out more about myself and how I could translate that into my art. It was fun as I had to answer questions that even I myself haven't thought about asking, overall it has given me a chance to learn more about myself.
