Lecture
Harmony:-
- Involves elements that share a common trait.
- monotony without the use of variety.
- harmony gives a sense of one or aesthetic or mood.
Unity:-
- Repetition of similar elements, colours, shapes and materials to create a composition.
- Unity becomes when the elements are composed in a balanced way and give a sense of oneness to create a theme.
- Unity and harmony might sound similar but they have their own different roles in the way we experience design.
Scale and Proportions:-
- Scale and proportions have size in common.
- Scale is the size of the object.
- Proportions is the parts of an object in realtion to other same parts of the object.
- Scale and Proportions were used throughout the centuries.
Exercise 3
Harmony
Figure 1.0 Sketch (25/9/21)
For Harmony I decided to not use my theme which was the "eye" and decided to use flowers and use different colours for each flower and that colour represents something.
Figure 1.1 Final Outcome (1/10/21)
I decided to use 4 types of colour that represents me red for anger or sometimes bravery, blue for being loyal and trustworthy, yellow for being a coward and purple for being peaceful and spiritual. I used each of this colour that represents me as the flower and the background to create a sense of harmony.

FINAL OUTCOME
Unity
Figure 1.4 Research (25/9/21)
I tried to use the same concept as what Ms Jinchi showed for unity and the character also fits my criteria for my theme the "eye". This character is Sauron from Lord Of The Rings, I decided to use him because it fits for unity where he will be the center of attraction.
Figure 1.6 Final outcome (1/10/21)
I also decided to remove some of the clouds as it takes too much space from this layout I also wanted to add "Mount Doom" but it will probably be a hindrance since it might fight for attention so I decided to stick with Sauron. I decided to use dark colours as "Mordor" is like a land of the dead so dark colours fit well.

REFLECTIONS
It was a fun and interesting exercise for me as it takes my creativity as well as applying the rules to my art creation. It is also challenging to think and design an art while also applying the rules as well as having a summary to my work it gives me a whole new perspective on what my art is and could improve.
